How to make Ubuntu load faster on your computer

Ubuntu may load faster than Windows, but there’s always room for improvement.
Reduce its bootup time by removing applications that you don’t need from the startup list. Most of these apps are added by default when you installed Ubuntu, since they are useful – just not for everyone.
Because what we’re messing with here is with the bootup process, be sure to understand what exactly is the function of the app that you are removing from the list. Doing away with important ones will result in a screwed-up system.
The rule of thumb is: if unsure, leave it alone.

If you’re not confident with command line and wish to do it graphically, read here on how to install and use the GUI-based Boot-up Manager to get the job done.
